Citi, Nordea Select Bitcoin Compliance Firm for Accelerators -

Bitcoin compliance startup Polycoin was recently accepted into two incubators, one backed by Citi and the other by Nordea. The announcement follows the news that Barclays had partnered with a similar startup in an effort to begin engaging with bitcoin and blockchain industry companies more broadly.

Bitcoin Price Surges by 12%, Setting Weekly High -

The price of bitcoin increased by 12% yesterday, reaching a weekly high of $368.51 at 12:30 (UTC). According to the CoinDesk USD Bitcoin Price Index (BPI), the digital currency opened the day at $328.98 before increasing $40 to reach its peak.

Kenyan High Court Hears BitPesa Case Against Safaricom -

The Kenyan High Court heard a case brought by bitcoin startup BitPesa against mobile money giant Safaricom two days ago. BitPesa is saying Safaricom "intimidated" its payment gateway partner, forcing it to stop its services with the mobile money platform.
