The paper sets out to help industry leaders understand the opportunities, and counter the challenges, the technology will likely bring.

Identity Startup Wins $15k at Santander Blockchain Competition - 

A Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company developing identity solutions for blockchain systems won $15,000 at a startup competition hosted by the venture arm of Banco Santander yesterday. Cambridge Blockchain, which won the event, was one of five finalists in a competition that saw more than 100 entrants.

Vinny Lingham Leaves Gyft, Raises $2.75 Million for Identity Startup - 

Following the acquisition of bitcoin gift card service Gyft, the firm's former CEO and co-founder Vinny Lingham has stepped aside from overseeing the company's operations to focus on other efforts. Notably, Lingham has a new venture called Civic, aimed to tackle the problem of consumer identity theft and online fraud.

Blockchain Capital Raises $13 Million for Second Startup Fund - 

Venture capital firm Blockchain Capital has closed its second investment fund for bitcoin and blockchain technology ventures having raised $13m. Notably, this second fund was oversubscribed, according to reports, having set an original target that was $3m lower.

Japanese Bitcoin Exchange Launches ¥50 Million Startup Fund - 

Japanese bitcoin exchange BitFlyer has created a new startup fund aimed at investing in companies working in the nascent blockchain space. Dubbed the 'Blockchain Angel Fund', the newly created fund has an initial size of ¥50m, or roughly $421,000.
