Microsoft is increasing the size of its blockchain sandbox with a new ethereum service.

Its soon-to-launch Ethereum Consortium Blockchain Network will make it easier for clients to set up their own private smart contracts environment. With one-click deployment, new tools and a simpler key management system, Microsoft aims to streamline consortium creation. 

In this release, Microsoft is not only acknowledging the utility of the ethereum blockchain for enterprise. It is also stepping up the competition with IBM for cloud-based blockchain-as-a-service revenue. (Read the full story.)
