Perhaps the story of 2016, The DAO continues to loom large in boardrooms and chatrooms months after its messy collapse.

It's fitting then that the project's developers are now weighing in with their takeaways for 2016 as the 20th entry (who's counting?) in CoinDesk's 2016 in Review series.

An admittedly 'biased perspective', the piece nonetheless provides a view into how The DAO's creators believe the industry has matured in the months since the project sputtered – and how it might yet advance in the year ahead.

If nothing else, the piece is proof positive that despite big setbacks, even the blockchain builders with the most baggage continue undeterred. (Read more).
