WAAS

A WAAS (short for Wide Area Augmentation System) is a system of ground stations and satellites that provide GPS signal corrections for errors due to ionosphere disturbances, satellite orbit errors, etc. A WAAS is able to improve the tracking accuracy of GPS navigation systems to within approximately 10 feet.
