A Doorway Page (a.k.a. Gateway Page, Jump Page, Entry Page, and Bridge Page) is a webpage that has been specifically designed to be appealing to search engine spiders looking for pages to index. The purpose of a Doorway Page is to help gain the website in question a higher ranking/placement in search engine results. Doorway Pages contain keywords and phrases that are more likely to get it indexed, usually have redirect links to the main website, have a fast meta refresh rate, and typically do not contain any messages or ads for users.
