Send your crypto to anyone, any time, and anywhere. Using the Bitcoin.com Wallet's Sharable Link, you can send anyone their first cryptocurrency – even if the recipient doesn't have a cryptocurrency wallet. The recipient simply clicks on the link to claim the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) you sent!
You can provide the link to the recipient in any way you like. For example, you can send it via any messaging app (WhatsApp, Line, Telegram, and etc.), email, or SMS. If you really wanted to, you could even write the link on a piece of paper and physically hand it over to the recipient.
If the recipient already has the Bitcoin.com Wallet, they'll instantly receive the BCH the moment they open the link. If the recipient doesn't have the Bitcoin.com Wallet, they'll be taken to Google Play or the App Store where they can download the Wallet and claim the BCH you sent.
Here's how in 5 easy steps: 1. Open your Bitcoin.com Wallet and press SEND 2. Tap "Shareable Link" 3. Enter the amount you wish to send and press CONTINUE 4. Confirm the transaction and SLIDE TO SEND 5. Your Shareable Link is now generated. Tap Share Payment Link and select the method for sending by choosing from any of the apps on your phone. For example, if you select WhatsApp, you'll be prompted to choose from your WhatsApp contacts, and the contact you select will receive a clickable link in the chat. You can also add a personal note after sending it to track your sent BCH. After you have sent BCH via Shareable Link you can check the status of the sent link or copy the generated link if you wish to send it again. To receive a Shareable Link, the recipient just taps on the link. This action will "claim" the BCH, which is instantly sent to the claimer's Bitcoin.com Wallet. What happens if the recipient doesn't open the link? You can always reclaim the link. To do so, either tap on the link in the chat you sent it in or navigate to the transaction in your wallet's transaction history and select "Check status" > "Reclaim funds."
Other things to note about Shareable Links When you create a Shareable Link, you're effectively setting aside an amount of BCH temporarily. The amount you set aside leaves your wallet as soon as you create the link, but it won't be received until someone claims the link. For this reason, the dollar-value amount of the BCH you sent may have changed by the time the recipient claims it. In BCH terms though, the amount sent will not change.
⚠️ Note that anyone who clicks the link can claim the BCH you sent - so, unless you want to give away some BCH, don't share the link publicly. And as always, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to Support. |
